YUMA, Ariz. – Old Souls K9 Rescue and Retirement saves dogs in their dying days. Paula and Isaac Rivadeneira began old souls because they say these older dogs are the first to be put down at the shelters.
“We cannot imagine the pain, fear and anxiety these animals must feel in those shelters,” Paula said.
The Rivadeneira’s have opened their home and currently have about a dozen animals. They want to save more animals but just don’t have the room.
“It would be great if people from the Yuma community would open up their homes! We also know the snowbirds are going to be coming back soon. This opportunity is great for anyone that may want an animal but just can’t afford it,” she says.
If people are interested in becoming foster parents for these older animals, all they need to do is provide food and shelter. Old Souls K9 will pay for all the medical bills, and even provide assistance if the new parents have any questions.
